5 Minute Action for Monday, 4/17: Protect Lives, U.S. Credibility: Pass the ‘Keeping Our Promise to Our Afghan Allies Act’

Thanks to RogansList for TODAY’s 5 Minute Action.

Right now it is even more important for our members of Congress to support the Keeping Our Promise to Our Afghan Allies Act, which would add 2,500 visas to the Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program.

Per an excerpt from The Hill, “These interpreters put their lives on the line for American values, often even picking up a weapon to defend the U.S. forces they were with when the shooting started. That kind of risk, courage, and sacrifice doesn’t escape notice—especially among those who oppose it. Even today, interpreters and others who ‘collaborated’ with American forces have their pictures and personal information circulated among extremist groups, with bounties on their heads and the heads of their families.”

TODAY’s 5 Minute Action:

Step 1:  Call the House Judiciary Committee and ask them to move this bill along and call our own representatives, too. Use this great app to get phone numbers and make the call:

  • Open the link below and follow the directions. Note, when you click on the phone number you can either use your computer to make the call, or use your phone and then record the result to get the next number to call.  Call 5 times if you have time!

BREATHE AND STEP FORWARD!

Thank you from the TrumpResistance.TODAY team
