5 Minute Action for Saturday, 2/25: Thank our Media

The real enemy of the people:  Donald Trump.

When Charles Krauthammer, Fox’s staunchly conservative commentator, calls it ‘alarming’ that several news outlets, including CNN and The New York Times were reportedly excluded from yesterday’s press session, THAT’S A MAJOR WAKE UP CALL FOR PEOPLE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE.

  • Krauthammer said people are “rightly concerned” about the apparent blockage of unfriendly press outlets.
  • “The symbolism is alarming,” he said, adding that Trump’s statement earlier this week that the mainstream press is the “enemy of the people” is also concerning.
  • “He (Trump) uses a phrase from [Vladimir] Lenin: enemies of the people. If you were an enemy-of-the-people in Lenin’s day, you were dead,” Krauthammer said, calling the phrase a “historical term that should never be used.”

5 Minute Action for TODAY:

Step 1:  Thank the White House Correspondents Association for strongly protesting the way the press conference was handled. Let them know by emailing or calling that: Thank you for protesting the administration’s action yesterday to deny certain news outlets access to the press conference. Free media access to a transparent government is of crucial national interest. Stay strong!”
